Visit to the State Audit Office of the Republic of Latvia (June 17-20, 2010)

Chairman of the Chamber of Control of Georgia Mr. Levan Bezhashvili together with the assigned delegates of the CCG is paying an official visit to Latvia.
Within the framework of this visit the meetings will be held with the President of Latvia H.E. Mr. Valdis Zatlers, the Chairman of the Siaema (Parliament) of the Republic of Latvia Mr. Gundars Daudze and the Chairman of the Public Expenditure and Audit Committee of the Parliament Mr. Andris Berzins.
The aim of the visit is to promote cooperation between the Chamber of Control of Georgia and the State Audit Office of the Republic of Latvia. Enhancement of bilateral relationship serves to the exchange of professional experience between the organizations. With the intention of implementation of modern audit methodology the Chamber of Control of Georgia, in collaboration with the State Audit Office of the Republic of Latvia will lead pilot audit of the state budget execution in the ministries identified earlier. The mentioned process will cover planning, implementation and reporting phases of the audit.
To facilitate the development of bilateral cooperation between the two Supreme Audit Institutions, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Riga on 17 June 2010.
