Cooperation with Political Parties

A change to the organic law of Georgia on “Political Unions of Citizens entered into force on December 30th, 2011. In accordance with the law, Chamber of Control of Georgia became responsible for monitoring financial activities of the political parties registered in Georgia.
In order to ensure effective exchange of information:
• Information representing the subject of interest to the parties will be published on the CCG official website www.control.ge.
• Parties will be able to send any inquires concerning “Political Unions of Citizens” to the following email address: info_cpu@control.ge.
• CCG has developed a form of reports which is published on the CCG website in the table format. Attached one can find an explanation of how to fill in the form.
• Political parties should send information on any kind of received donations to the following email address: cpu@control.ge.
• An annual project of “Financial Declaration” has been placed on the CCG website, in accordance to which political parties are obliged to provide information on their financial activities by February 1st, 2012.
The Chamber of Control requests the parties to provide the names of the assigned persons as well as an email address, from which the information on the donations received by the parties will be received on a systematic basis. CCG hopes that the cooperation with political parties will be fruitful that will significantly increase transparency of financial activities of parties as well as of the election process in general.
