Cooperation between the NIK and the Chamber of Control of GeorgiaOpens in new tab

The NIK and the Chamber of Control of Georgia wish to mutually share their experience. At a meeting in Tbilisi, President of the NIK Jacek Jezierski and the Head of the Chamber of Control of Georgia Levan Bezhashvili discussed the challenges that the SAI of Georgia has to face, as well as the issues related to audit methodology development.

Chamber of Control publishes some key audit resultsOpens in new tab

Georgia's supreme audit institution has published its findings and follow-up actions on 25 cases. However, no information is published online on most of the Chambers’ audits of state entities. it still remains very difficult to assess the impact of the Chamber’s work, as neither government nor parliament publish updates on how they follow up to the recommendations.

Representatives of Georgian SAI learned about the project for human resources managementOpens in new tab

From November 29 to December 2, 2010, representatives from the Chamber of Control of Georgia visited the Supreme Audit Office of the Czech Republic (SAO) and learnt about the systems of human resources management and professional training at the SAO. Georgian representatives said they could use the experience acquired at the SAO and other international organizations to reorganize the HR system of their SAI.
