United Nations Development Programme
UNDP is the UN's global development network promoting change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources.
UNDP Georgia was involved in strengthening oversight capacity of the CCG in 2004-2008 within the frames of its “Strengthening Institutional Performance and Capacity for Public Sector Control” project that involved improvement of administrative procedures, enhancement of relations of the Chamber with the Parliament of Georgia, State Chancellery, relevant state institutions, and other sub-units of the national financial system on the national and regional levels.
In 2010 UNDP initiated a capacity assessment mission (May – June) focusing on the human resources management capacities of the CCG revealing existing gaps in the field. As a result a project “Improving Management Capacity of the Chamber of Control of Georgia” was initiated (November 2010-October 2011) aiming at improving management capacity of the Chamber of Control of Georgia (CCG) through introduction of effective and efficient Human Resources (HR), and document flow systems as well as strengthening its in-house training and analysis potential.
The initiative is implemented in cooperation with the UNDP-Czech Trust Fund, which would contribute by providing technical expertise and arranging study tours to the Supreme Audit Office of the Czech Republic.
