INTOSAI Standards Seminar Warsaw, October 28-29, 2009

A seminar on “Raising Awareness of International Standards of Supreme Audit Institutions (ISSAI)” took place in Warsaw, Poland on the 28th -29th of October 2009. Its main objective was to promote the International Standards of Supreme Audit Institutions (ISSAI) and INTOSAI Guidelines on Good Governance in an European forum, in order to facilitate national implementation and application of the ISSAI standards and INTOSAI guidelines within the SAIs – members of EUROSAI.

The seminar which was held in the form of a pilot project was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the CCG Mr. Devi Vephvadze and the Head of Defense, Public Safety and Security Audit Department of the CCG.  

13th meeting of INTOSAI Working Group on Environmental Auditing (WGEA) in China

Representatives of the Chamber of Control of Georgia attended the 13th INTOSAI WGEA meeting that was held in Guilin, capital city of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in West-Souther China on 7th -11th July 2010.

The meeting was dedicated to the existing environmental problems as the common challenge faced by all countries in the world and a vital role that may be played by SAIs in the sustainable management of the environment. The growing trend of the environmental audit and the importance of international cooperation for its further development have been highlighted.  

INTOSAI Working Group meeting in Paris, France on May 28-29, 2009

The meeting of the INTOSAI Working Group that was held in Paris on the 28th -29th of May 2009 was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the CCG , Mr Devi Vephvadze and the Head of Legal Department of the CCG, Ms. Nato Zaalishvili.

Presentations delivered during the above mentioned meeting were dedicated to the program evaluation by SAIs and the approaches to evaluation process were described on the examples of such countries’ SAIs as Switzerland and Mexico. The proposals for new methodologies and approaches to the program evaluation have been introduced.
